Jonathan Majors is all set to defend himself in a trial on August 3 and it seems like Marvel is just waiting for the result of the trial before they make an official decision about the future of the actor at the studio.

Fans show their support for the Loki actor

Despite being an integral part of MCU at this point, the studio will be letting go of Jonathan Majors if he is proven guilty at the trial. However, MCU has been really silent so far about the star’s future at the studio as they do not want to create another Johnny Depp and the Pirates of the Caribbean situation and make any premature decisions. Marvel has allegedly also dropped Majors’ name from all their promotional content just as a safeguard for the time being.

The whole Jonathan Majors controversy has left the whole internet divided and fans have been arguing if he should be dropped from future Marvel projects or if they should wait for the decision of the trial. However, after Anthony Mackie spoke about the situation, fans took to Twitter and showed their support for the Loki actor.

Many fans also said that although Anthony Mackie is going to get a lot of hate for saying this, he is definitely right.

One user even said that Marvel did the right thing by casting Anthony Mackie as Captain America after Chris Evans as this was a very “Captain America” thing to say.

Jonathan Majors will be reprising his role as Kang in season 2 of the Loki series but the filming of the series has already been completed before the assault allegations came to light. Therefore, the release of the new season of Loki won’t be delayed as such and will be released in October later this year on Disney+.
