But the Kung Fu Panda star Jack Black has debunked those rumors, as he went on to sing praises for the former WWE champion. Jack Black described the Brahma bull as one of the best guys to work with and had a great experience with Johnson during their time at Jumanji.
Jack Black debunks the rumors of Dwayne Johnson being an egoistic person
In an interview with Conan O’Brien, Jack Black shared some light on the matter of Johnson bearing a massive ego with his co-workers. On asked about the legitimacy of the claims, Jack Black went on to debunk these rumors and went on to commend his Jumanji co-star for being one of the coolest guys in the industry, as the duo soon built a great bond during their tenure on the sets. He stated,
“You would think that egos would collide, but nothing could be further from the truth. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and I shared a magical bond. We didn’t need words, we just exchanged energy. Eye contact turned into a soul-searching industrial complex of exchange.”
And it isn’t surprising, as, despite the claims of The Rock being a douchebag of the set, the actor has always come off as one of the most likable celebrities in the entertainment industry.

Dwayne Johnson is considered as one of the nicest and most humble guys in the industry. And even though the actor has been accused of bearing a huge ego, the WWE superstar never strikes the fans as a self-obsessed entitled guy as some of his doubters claim.
And Jack Black’s statement about the actor only confirms that the egoism rumors surrounding the actor are mostly exaggerated, as one of the defining factors of The Rock is his humility. And the Black Adam actor’s down-to-earth persona and his unique bond with the fans is the prime factor behind his colossal success.
Apart from Jack Black, many other celebrities have commended the Rock for his work ethic and demeanor with the rest of the crew. And actors including, Jason Statham, Brendan Fraser, and Zac Efron have expressed their support for the actor, as they described him as one of the nicest guys to work within the industry.
