Marvel and DC are the biggest-known names in the world of Superheroes. Over the years both have accumulated a considerable amount of distinct and devoted fanbases over the years. Interestingly, there is a segment of fans who share an unwavering passion for both the universe and their characters and stories.
More often than not, such fans have come forward to express their desire for a crossover between the two. While such a monumental collision has not taken place (yet), fans might be happy to know that there is an unlikely relationship that exists between the recently released The Flash and Marvel’s new show.
Unlikely Connection Between DC And Marvel
Die-hard fans of both the superhero giants have been pitching forth for a crossover for years. While such a feat has not come about yet and it seems rather unlikely that it would ever come about, there exists a far-fetched relationship between Marvel and DC. When Marvel’s latest Secret Invasion’s second episode was released, fans were quick to point out that it contained the key location of Ezra Miller‘s The Flash.
Secret Invasion is filmed in multiple locations all over the world. One such location is the popular filming destination of London’s Senate House. In the MCU series, it is the place where the security meeting of world leaders takes place and is visited by James Rhodes in the second episode of the show.
On the other hand in DC’s The Flash, the same building is shown but the place is converted as an exterior for the workplace of Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen, called the Central City Police Department. While the location is portrayed as very different places in the movie and show, it is ironic to see this weird and unexpected crossover between DC and Marvel.
DC And Marvel Share Many Other Similarities
Much to the delight of fans of both the superhero universes, DC and Marvel have shared multiple similarities over the years, be it the comic books or the cinematic universe. Apart from similar locations, similar characters and their characteristics, similar storylines, and much more, there also exists a comic book series that is entirely focused on a crossover event.
Marvel and DC even have one character that is legally owned by both of them, and it is called Axel Asher or Access. Access is actually a twin, with one of the brothers living in the DC-verse, and the other in the Marvel-verse by choice. While we do have a comic book crossover, having a crossover in the cinematic world seems less probable but not impossible.
