Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name has been attached to some of the most influential Sci-fi and action installments the genre has to offer and has cemented himself as an all-time great in this field. And during his heyday in Hollywood, the actor has delivered his fair share of one-liners, and one of his most iconic lines arrived in the inception of the beloved Terminator franchise, which redefined the sci-fi genre.
Although The Terminator franchise has suffered a few setbacks in the last decade, with their last release, Terminator: Dark Fate, failing at the box office, the original films’ legacy still continues to live on. Recently Schwarzenegger’s youngest son also went on to pay tribute to the actor’s most iconic work.
Joseph Baena pays wholesome tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Terminator
Following in his father’s footsteps, Joseph Baena is working on making a name for himself in the acting realm and hasn’t backed away from paying tribute to his role model. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Baena has got into bodybuilding and is becoming a spitting image of his dad, and is now trying to find his foot in the acting realm by landing his first project, Called To Duty. while leading his first movie, Baena did go on to pay a wholesome tribute to his dad by referencing one of the most iconic lines from 1984’s The Terminator. Baena says,
“In 1984, there was an actor who gave one of the greatest lines of all-time… I’ll be back!!!”
Even though the two don’t share a fairytale beginning as Joseph Baena was a result of the Total Recall star’s affair with housekeeper Mildred Baena, he didn’t back away from his duties as a father. Despite sharing extreme regret for cheating on his wife Maria Shriver, the actor didn’t let these unfortunate circumstances affect his bond with his son Joseph Baena, and Baena too has nothing but admiration for his father.
Can Joseph Baena be the one to revive The Terminator franchise?
Looking at the similarity between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joseph Baena, who is following in his father’s footsteps, the actor does seem like the perfect choice to carry The Terminator IP forward. But considering that Baena Still has a long journey ahead of himself to prove himself as an accomplished actor, it can’t be said for sure if he will be the one to bring The Terminator IP back on track.
Although it will be a long climb before Joseph Baena is too able to make a prominent name for himself like his father, the actor has made a promising start to his career as he keeps on following his dad’s advice.
