Taking a note from Sylvester Stallone’s book, the star recently revealed that his move from his hometown of Missouri to the heart of L.A. was a tough decision for him as it meant he had to leave a comfortable life behind. Here, in between finding gigs to do, he was into the catering business until he lost that job too. Desperate, he consulted his friend for some advice, who directed her towards becoming a set dresser for an adult entertainment company. He told Esquire:

“I got that job because of a friend of mine, this girl who was like our stage manager in college. She was always the hardworking type. I was hanging out with her and another friend of ours from Mizzou, commiserating at a potluck. None of us had any money. I’d lost my catering gig. I was like, ‘I need a job’. My friend said, ‘You can have my job. I’m doing set dressing’. I said, ‘I don’t know how to do that’. She says, ‘It’s not that hard. They’ll hire anybody’.”

While he might be one of the rare stars that have also seen the more mature and adulterated side of Hollywood, he’s not the only one. Rocky star Sylvester Stallone has outright performed in an adult film titled The Party at Kitty and Stud’s during his struggling days.
