Ryan Gosling is a captivating star who continues to mesmerize audiences with his unmatched talent and charisma. Recently, he fired back at critics who argue he’s too old to portray Ken in the upcoming Barbie movie.

Social media has witnessed an uproar from younger Barbie fans, criticizing the casting of the 42-year-old actor.

During an interview with GQ, Gosling confidently dismisses the critics, stating,

“And everyone was fine with that, for him to have a job that is nothing. But suddenly, it’s like, No, we’ve cared about Ken this whole time. No, you didn’t. You never did.”

He highlights Ken’s primary purpose as simply enjoying the beach and existing primarily as Barbie’s partner. He said,

“Barbie never f**ked with Ken. That’s the point. If you ever really cared about Ken, you would know that nobody cared about Ken. So your hypocrisy is exposed. This is why his story must be told.”

Meanwhile, Gosling’s co-star in the film, praises his portrayal of Ken, further sparking anticipation for the movie.
