In Margot Robbie’s Barbie, there were many jokes cracked on Mattel and Warner Bros. During a recent interview, Greta Gerwig talked about Zack Snyder and other jokes she included in her movie. The 39-year-old director and actress said,

“I never put anything in a movie I don’t love, and that’s true. I don’t really have use for things that I don’t have affection for, within a movie. That was the core of it. But I really, honestly, can’t believe that they let us make this movie.”

She further added,

“I think it was definitely something where when turned in the script, which was the wild, anarchic thing that it is, there was this general feeling of, no one will let us make this. Not Warner Bros, not Mattel, not anybody.”

Gerwig also stated that Robbie as an actress and producer of the movie did a wonderful job. She further said that “Barbie is one of the best Margot Robbie movies.”

The Lady Bird filmmaker is on cloud nine after watching the enormous success at the box office following the release of her cult classic film. Gerwig is making waves on the internet after delivering one of the best films for people to enjoy. The director has received acclaim for her excellent direction as well as her wonderful writing. While talking about the success of Barbie, Gerwig said,

“I’m so grateful. I’m so amazed. I’m at a loss for words, really. I’ve been in New York City and spent Thursday and Friday just spot-checking different theaters, listening to the levels and making sure the picture looked nice and trying to relinquish control, which is difficult. But honestly, it’s been amazing to walk around and see people in pink. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine something like this. It’s just … it’s … sorry, I’m just disintegrating into noises.”
