Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg have done a lot of movies that have benefitted their careers. Both of them are amongst the biggest stars in Hollywood and the movies they are tied to play a big role in that. From some of the most iconic and fan-favorite characters to the biggest movies in the industry, they have been a part of all of them.
Even with such a range in cinema that the two hold, when they collaborated on a project, things went greatly sideways. Adaptations are anyways difficult to pull off because of all the expectations that fans have. However, if there is a certain rhythm of accuracy that is maintained, the complaints become less and less frequent. Unfortunately for the duo, it may seem that the complaints may only rise.
Uncharted 2 Could Still Happen With Tom Holland And Mark Wahlberg
Based on the games, Uncharted was a movie following Nathan Drake on his journey. When fans play the games, there is an unusual level of attachment that gets developed with the characters and the storylines with it. From how they act to the pain they feel whenever something harsh happens to them; that is not difficult to replicate in movies or series. However, Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg’s film was only filled with disappointment for the fans of the games.
“The fans really liked the movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we are definitely looking to make another one of those.”
Charles Roven, the film’s producer still has hope for a sequel. Incidentally, his target audience is the group of people who haven’t played the games. His reason for the same stated that the people who hadn’t experienced the games, they came to love the movies. So a sequel is more than possible.
Fans Stand Against Tom Holland’s Film’s Sequel
Fans were enraged upon learning that Charles Roven is still looking forward to a sequel. There were a lot of factors that did not work out for the movie, including how neither Tom Holland nor Mark Wahlberg looked like their characters or even remotely acted like them. Had they given a hint of similarity, things could have been different.
They even asked for the two to be fired and replaced if a sequel is what they really want. Having a fresher start or a soft reboot to make sure that the series is not just targeted to an audience who hasn’t seen or played the games can create a much bigger fan base for the franchise.
