As of the 24th of August, gamers have received a brand-new trailer for No Man’s Sky and its new update. This update is known as Echoes which has added a lot of new features to the title, and gained much attention from fans who are already flocking to the game. If you are interested in trying Echoes, access to all of the new content is now available to try in this new update.
What Will Be Available During This Next Update for No Man’s Sky?
According to the trailer that was released, there is a lot of new content for gamers to enjoy as they have worked tirelessly to add a lot of fresh content. Players haven’t seen new features in No Man’s Sky for a long time and due to this update the fan base is giddy with excitement.
So far, the update may not be as big as many would have hoped, but there has been a lot added to the game. To start, there has been a whole new species added for players to both play as and interact with. This new species is known as the Autophage, and they are entirely made from technology, but more specifically random and old technology. Upon starting Echoes, the player will be able to play as a part of the Autophage, and there will be multiple cosmetic items that can be discovered through assisting the Autophage in missions.
Since No Man’s Sky is such a large game, there are many pieces of technology to discover, such as weapons, ships, suit technology, and even creatures of all shapes and sizes. Now, thanks to the Echoes update, there is even more to discover in the universe of No Man’s Sky. There is a new Multi-tool which can be found, players will also be able to craft their own staff under the guidance of the Autophage (which is also classed as a Multi-tool), there are new ships to discover especially frigates, and more creatures to find through the galaxy.
Another major inclusion to this update is a whole new story that is related to the Autophage themselves. As players will be able to travel the galaxy finding different encampments created by the Autophage they will also able to use certain shrines to access vivid memories of the Autophage. As players explore and discover numerous secrets of the Autophage they will uncover the brand-new language that has come to No Man’s Sky.
Over the past few updates since update 3.3, we have been seeing a new form of the story under the name of Expeditions. Expeditions have been used in No Man’s Sky to tell individual stories that will eventually end and change into another story. This update is no different, as it brings a whole new journey for players to jump into and explore with their friends.
Will This Update to No Man’s Sky Improve on Any Aspects of the Game?
When No Man’s Sky was released to the public over seven years ago, there were many complaints from gamers about different aspects of the title. It was understandable at the time, but now with numerous updates to No Man’s Sky the game has significantly improved. Echoes will certainly be added to the list of the quality improvements for the Hello Games action-adventure title.
During this update, players will notice a cleaner and more fun experience to space combat as it has evolved with more depth. There has been the inclusion of Dreadnought frigates, which are crewed by pirates and can be attacked by players to defend civilians from pirate scum. But this isn’t all, there have also been trench runs aded. And players will be able to entirely destroy any frigate ship seen in the game from Dreadnoughts to regular frigates.
As No Man’s Sky evolves throughout the years, there have been numerous efforts to fix what was once broken. And so far, with the numerous updates over the years, we can safely say this has been done to perfection. With more content most likely on the way, we can be sure that there will be even more to keep players engaged as they explore the universe and uncover its secrets.
