After having an alleged platonic relationship with Hayley Atwell on the sets of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Cruise seems to have found himself some new company.
The actor was recently spotted with singer Shakira at the Miami Grand Prix back in May. The two were seen chatting happily and rumors of a potential spark between the actor and the singer were seen. Although mere rumors, the Top Gun actor stated that he couldn’t help but admire Shakira for the person that she is.

Following his divorce from his ex-wife Katie Holmes back in 2012, the actor has been in the world of relationships and dating ever since. With the recent rumor that the actor was dating his co-star Hayley Atwell on the sets of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, the actress was quick to put these rumors to rest.
Stating that they are nothing but platonic, a new rumor now seems to have arisen that Tom Cruise is currently dating the Hips Don’t Lie singer Shakira. The two were spotted at the Miami GP in May and were seen chatting along happily as an outlet reported that Cruise even allegedly sent her flowers after the F1 event ended.
In an interview with Despierta America, Tom Cruise talked about his now-good friend Shakira and showered her with compliments. In the end, the actor remarked a double entendre joke that seems to have given people further proof that the two are dating!
“She’s very talented. She and her family are lovely people. I’ve always admired her work… She’s a very good person, she’s a very good person. No, her hips don’t lie, they don’t.”
Although the American Made actor may be interested in dating Shakira, sources close to the singer have stated that Shakira is simply not interested and is far too busy in her own life to even consider a relationship!
Shakira Is Reportedly Not Interested In Dating Tom Cruise
It seems that the news is indeed saddening to hear for Tom Cruise since Shakira is reportedly not interested in dating anyone. A source close to the Colombian singer stated that she is very flattered by Cruise’s style but she simply doesn’t have enough time to entertain a relationship right now.
“Shakira is not interested in having anything romantic with Tom. She doesn’t want to date him, or anyone else, because she’s focused on her kids and her career…. For now. They talk. But there is no attraction or romance on her part. Shakira is just friendly with him. She’s flattered by his interest, but she doesn’t want anything more,”
Although the rumors haven’t been confirmed or denied by any of the stars, the two would truly make a great couple if the news were to be true.
