Thus, recently after he turned 69, the actor revealed his decision of what he wants to do with his million-dollar fortune. Well, whatever his plan might be, his fortune is clearly not for his son.
Previously claiming how indisciplined his son has become following his Western upbringing, Jackie Chan decided not to give his hard-earned fortune to him. Considering the frivolous nature of his son Jaycee, Chan made the decision of donating his entire net worth to charity.

Jackie Chan Expresses His Disappointment For His Son
After appearing in more than a hundred movies, and turning into one of the highest-paid actors in the world, Jackie Chan bagged his ginormous million-dollar fortune. But somehow his relationship with his son got tainted in the process of gaining his wealth. Despite privileges and luxuries, Chan expressed his disappointment in his son Jaycee.
Discussing on several occasions how his son inculcated the unfazed Western culture, Jackie Chan expressed his grief. During an interview with SOH Talks & Ideas, Chan mentioned,
“We never dropped one rice on the table, and we will put the shoes like this [in a line]…but I see my son’s shoes, one like this, one like this”.
Stating his son’s haphazard way of removing and not placing them with discipline, the actor said: “No discipline. Yeah.”
Further, speaking about the first time he met his son in the US, Jackie Chan revealed how Jaycee sat manspreading on the chair. Failing to stand straight in one place respectfully, while talking to his father, Chan expressed how his son swayed while having a conversation. “You don’t know how to talk” Chan recalled saying to his son. The reputed actor had been previously disgraced by his son when he was arrested for drug possession in 2014.
Jackie Chan Will Donate His Fortune, Not Pass It On
Witnessing a major downfall in his son’s behavior and habits, Jackie Chan decided to do justice to his hard-earned fortune. Failing to change his son, the actor became unwilling to leave behind his million-dollar fortune for Jaycee. More than a decade ago, the 69-year-old expressed his desire to donate the entirety of his net worth to charity.
“If he is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money.” Jackie Chan shared.
Expressing his regret over not insisting his son enroll in the army, Chan discussed his disappointment in Jaycee. Considering what’s done is done, Jackie Chan is currently focused on fixing Jaycee Chan by making sure he earns money for himself. Ensuring that his son doesn’t receive an inheritance, the 69-year-old actor is trying to force his son into taking responsibility.
