Nicolas Cage has co-starred with multiple actors and actresses over the years. Many of these co-stars have in fact grown up watching him on the big screen. Even his first wife married him after having seen him on the big screen. Naturally, such incidents have generated a lot of funny stories. However, not all of these stories are nice as some of them are extremely bizarre.
One such bizarre story stems from his co-star, Tiffany Haddish, in the movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Fortunately for Haddish, Cage found the story funny and the two became good friends.
Tiffany Haddish’s Bizarre Story For Nicolas Cage
Tiffany Haddish got cast alongside Nicolas Cage in the 2022’s movie, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. During the first takes, her acting kept deteriorating and eventually, after three hours of her horrible performance, Haddish realized she had to get something off her chest in order to act well. Well, off she went and spoke to Cage.
“You could tell he was getting irritated.”
And then she revealed how at 17, while on a date she went to an empty theatre where the star’s $245 million movie, Face/Off was playing. Seeing the theatre almost empty she and her date got intimate, where at one point Haddish opened her eyes to see Nicolas Cage’s eyes piercing into her soul.
“As I was achieving a momentous moment that I had never experienced in my life, I opened my eyes — and the eyes of Nicolas Cage are looking into my eyes, super big… So, that was my first big O.”
While many actors and actresses would rather keep their mouths shut if they had such a bizarre story to tell, Tiffany Haddish could not stop herself since it kept interfering with her acting.
Nicolas Cage’s Reaction To Tiffany Haddish’s Story
Tiffany Haddish was confused, angry, and anxious on the first day of the shoot opposite Nicolas Cage. All she could think of was the bizarre experience when looking into the Ghost Rider star’s eyes.
“I’m looking at him in his eyes…and the 17-year-old me is like, ‘Tell him, tell him!’ And I’m like, ‘No, shut up, b**ch! You can’t tell him now! It’s inappropriate! We at work!’”
However, she mustered up her courage and told Cage about the whole experience. And to her astonishment, the actor laughed really hard and told her a bizarre story of his own.
“And then he told me a story about how his first wife saw him in a movie and said, ‘That’s gonna be my husband,’ and he ended up marrying her. And I said, ‘Well, I’m gonna let you know right now, you won’t be fiddling any of these beans over here.’ And we been good friends ever since.”
And hence, the stars continue to be good friends and their chemistry could definitely be seen in the movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, available to rent on Amazon Instant Video.
