Grand Theft Auto, or GTA, is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, despite not getting a new release in a decade. Fans have had to make do with the still very good GTA V and GTA Online, the latter of which gets regular content updates from developer Rockstar. Fans are eagerly awaiting word of the next game in the storied franchise.

The next entry, GTA 6, has unfortunately been the target of numerous hacks and leaks, much more than developer Rockstar is used to. We’ve heard a lot about the game from seeing leaked developmental footage to budget rumors putting it in the neighborhood of at least $1 Billion and much, much more. But it’s the latest leak that sounds particularly promising.
What does the latest GTA 6 leak indicate?
According to the latest leak, GTA 6 promises a dynamic weather system that will provide a “multitude of weather scenarios” but what those scenarios actually are, we don’t know yet. With the game possibly set in Vice City, though, we can speculate about what weather may and may not occur in GTA 6 since we know that Vice City is based off of Miami in Florida. That rules out blizzards, for instance, but brings into play storms and hurricanes.

Rockstar’s last major release, Red Dead Redemption 2 or RDR2, pushed the boundaries of what open-world games can do. It was an incredibly realistic, hyper-detailed, and alive world the game was set in, during the Wild West era. Many fans are expecting an even better game, and a stronger weather system could be one of the core ingredients for the same.
What other system could GTA 6 have?
Taking inspiration from Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 could well transfer over one of its gameplay mechanics and build on it. That gameplay mechanic is a detailed aging mechanic and a hair and facial hair growth system.
In RDR2, players had to keep visiting the barber to get Arthur Morgan, the protagonist, haircut and shave too. It was one of the minor yet realistic details that caused the player community to shower praise on the game, and it would make sense if GTA 6 carried over this feature from RDR2.
