Reportedly, the actress had a tiff with her co-star Nick Nolte while filming their rom-com.
Reportedly the lead actors of the film I Love Trouble did not share a cordial bond on the show and would even up bickering on numerous occasions.
Julia Robert found her co-star Nick Nolte disgusting
Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts worked together in the 1994 rom-com I Love Trouble. It was a romantic film about two rival newspaper reporters, who are forced to join forces to investigate a train derailment. During their shoot days, rumors started making rounds that the two actors cannot stand each other. In an interview with The New York Times, she said she found him completely disgusting.
Roberts said about Nolte,
“From the moment I met him we sort of gave each other a hard time, and naturally we get on each other’s nerves. [While he can be] completely charming and very nice, he’s also completely disgusting. He’s going to hate me for saying this, but he seems to go out of his way to repel people. He’s a kick.”
I Love Trouble It was written and produced by the husband-and-wife Nancy Meyers and Charles Shyer and directed by Shyer. Despite a brilliant cast, the film was a box office bomb, which grossed only $62 million worldwide. The film was dismissed by audience and critics.

Nick Nolte states his opinion on the feud with Julia Roberts
In an interview with Insider, Nick Nolte talked about his character as a homeless Vietnam War Veteran in the film Rittenhouse Square. During the interview, he was also asked about his behind-the-scenes feud with former co-star Julia Roberts. He shared that he never connected with the Notting Hill star after their film wrapped up. He added that the duo does not have any feud between them.
Nolte shared about burying the ratchet,
“No, I haven’t. Though it’s buried. I mean, it was absurd what we went through. It was partly my fault and a little bit of hers. Julia got married at the beginning of that film. and it was one of those things where I just approached it all wrong.”
After I Love Trouble, Roberts did numerous high-grossing movies and become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. She also won an Oscar in 2001 for Erin Brockovich. She was last seen on the silver screen opposite George Clooney in the popular rom-com Ticket to Paradise.
