The couple first met in 2006 and began dating. The following year they welcomed their daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault and got married in 2009, and since, Hayek and Henri Pinault have been together through thick and thin.
While the Mexico native actress has millions of fans worldwide who love her films, her daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault is not a big fan of her work. The Eternals star once revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her daughter is her best critic who often points her out if she doesn’t like any scenes or acting of her mother in her films. Salma Hayek shared:
“I gotta tell you, she’s very tough. She’s seen movies where she goes, ‘My God, that was awful. Mom, what were you thinking?'”
The 56-year-old actress once revealed in her previous interview that she and her husband, François-Henri Pinault, started paying $50,000 monthly into a trust fund for their daughter when she was four years old.
Salma Hayek Claims Her Daughter Looks Exactly Like Her
The mother-daughter duo has often made their head-turning red carpet debuts and appeared together on star-studded gala events in their best fashion attires. Hayek has been very vocal and proud of her daughter, as she once claimed that Valentina looks like her. In a candid interview, the award-winning actress opened up about embracing motherhood, saying,
“I only have one daughter, and that has been … the most incredible experience I have had in my life, and I have done a lot. I am sure that there are plenty of women that say, ‘God, what a marvelous life, she can do this or that.’ But, there is nothing that I have done that is more incredible than to have a child.”
