While it’s common for pets to have mixed reactions to unfamiliar objects, the way Gunn’s dogs responded to the DC character’s representation was quite amusing. In the video, one of the pups cautiously approached the King Shark figure, sniffing it but remaining uncertain about how to react.

However, the other dog opted for a different strategy. It retreated to a safe distance, perched on a couch, and persistently barked at the perceived threat. Hot Toys, renowned for its highly detailed and poseable collectibles, has captured the essence of King Shark perfectly.

The figure, which boasts exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, comes with a hefty price tag of $220 on the Sideshow online store. Hot Toys’ collection encompasses iconic comic book characters, including Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, and Peacemaker.

The Rise of King Shark: A Unique DC Character

King Shark is a shark-human hybrid within the DC universe and a possible descendant of an ancient shark god. Depicted in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, this man-eating anti-hero, whose real name is Nanuae, possesses a sweet yet slow personality, yearning for human connection despite his unusual appearance and carnivorous cravings.

Although he tries to present himself as intelligent, his monosyllabic phrases often lead to comedic situations, ultimately rendering his attempts futile. The Suicide Squad, a soft reboot and a sequel to David Ayer’s 2016 film, featured King Shatk as a member of the squad.

While both movies revolve around a team of supervillain inmates recruited for dangerous missions, they differ significantly in style and narrative. Gunn’s version features a fresh lineup of characters and an exciting plot that sees the team infiltrating the fictional country of Corto Maltese to retrieve classified data.

Fans eagerly await the release of Superman: Legacy, which explores the early days of Clark Kent’s career at the Daily Planet, showcasing a younger and less experienced version of the Man of Steel. As we await the arrival of this superhero spectacle, it’s clear that even our furry friends can have strong opinions about the characters we love.
