Morgan Freeman’s Stellar Image Took a Nasty Beating as Eight Women Accused him of Sexual Harassment: “I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable”

The voice of God, Morgan Freeman has been among the most famous actors in Hollywood whose career has spawned for over five decades. Being the recipient of various accolades, he has proved to the world that his craft is as formidable as his voice depth but his personal life has been surrounded with several controversies.

Back in 2018, Freeman made headlines when eight women came forward to voice out what they experienced in his presence which was quite shocking since he is quite a reputed personality in the industry.

A total of eight women came forward to accuse Morgan Freeman of sexual harassment. These women stated to CNN that he used to make sexual comments and inappropriately touched them. When he was promoting his 2017 film, one of these accusers,  Chloe Melas who interviewed him at the time mentioned that he made inappropriate remarks when she was pregnant.

Another accuser who worked on the 2017 film set claimed that he tried to lift her skirt. She was a production assistant at the time who was uncomfortable with him being around her. Not just her, four other women who worked alongside her shared the same opinions stating that they would dress modestly to avoid getting targeted by him.

The Dark Knight female crew once saw the Oscar-winning star behaving inappropriately to other female staff on set.

 “Morgan did things in a way that an older, more established person can get away with because they have that power,” she told CNN. “They can’t be replaced, but you can be replaced very easily.”

The allegations were even witnessed by male counterparts which further brought his fame into ultimate danger.

After several women came forward to share witnessing or experiencing similar experiences, the issue quickly caught public attention. Soon after that,  he released a statement with an apology.

“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.

His personal life has been the subject of public attention for quite a while before the allegations surfaced as tabloids reported that he was in a sexually inappropriate relationship with his step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines.

Things took a devastating turn as his step-granddaughter was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, Lamar Davenport. Meanwhile, these allegations almost put her career in jeopardy which even made a gamble for his career.
