Who Accused Morgan Freeman Of S*xual Harassment
Back in 2018, a total of eight women made allegations of s*xual harassment against Morgan Freeman. One of these accusers was a production assistant on the set of the film Going In Style (2017), which featured Freeman, Michael Caine, Alan Arkin, and other prominent actors. The alleged victim claimed that Freeman attempted to lift her skirt, but his co-star Alan intervened and put an end to the inappropriate behavior.
“[Morgan Freeman] kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.” According to her account, the actor persistently attempted to lift her skirt but was unsuccessful, and eventually, his co-star became aware of the situation. “Alan [Arkin] made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn’t know what to say,” she said.
In addition to this particular accusation, several other women came forward with startling claims against Morgan Freeman. The actor later released a statement with an apology.
“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
Morgan Freeman Didn’t Like Ben Affleck As Batman
Among the numerous actors who have embodied the Dark Knight, Christian Bale holds a special place as Morgan Freeman’s favorite. The acclaimed star portrayed the role of Lucius Fox in Christopher Nolan’s lauded trilogy.
In the realm of the exceptional aspects that elevate Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy to unparalleled heights, Christian Bale stands as the foremost factor. His unwavering dedication to his roles sets him apart, allowing him to brilliantly portray both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Freeman’s sentiment that DCEU’s Batman can’t surpass Bale’s portrayal seems entirely justified.
“You know, I’m happy for Ben [Affleck], but I don’t know how that’s gonna work. Because the Dark Knight was almost ‘it.’ Pretty much it. Did you see Batman Begins? I don’t think you can beat that.”
The Dark Knight trilogy is available for streaming on HBO Max.
