Superman’s cameo in the movie The Flash is being called a disaster
Many big names are present in the star cast of The Flash and many superstars said yes to doing a cameo in the film. One of the biggest shocks that came to the makers was when the news of Nicolas Cage doing the cameo as Superman was leaked. Of course, there was excitement among the fans was evident as Cage was going to get back in action and suit for Ezra Miller’s much-awaited movie.
The audience was full of vim and vigor to see the 59-year-old actor in the movie until his cameo looked like a complete disaster. Even though the actor filmed the cameo in person still in the scene it looks like it is some animated character. The people are grilling The Flash’s special effects team for the disaster as they ruined the Ghost Rider actor’s cameo in the movie.
Nicolas Cage shot the complete cameo scene for The Flash in a Superman suit
After watching Cage as Superman in the film, many people believed that the makers used another person to shoot the scene and used special effects to make him look like Cage. While talking about the Con Air actor’s cameo, the director of The Flash Muschietti revealed to the fans that it was Cage himself who shot the entire scene in the Superman suit. While talking about the scene with the Lord of War actor, Muschietti said,
“We talked with Nicolas, and we decided to shoot him in his suit. And so, we built the suit with the same costume designer that built the suit for the unproduced ‘Superman Lives,’ which is a movie that would have been great, but nobody will see because it wasn’t made.
He further added,
But the excitement was shared with Nicolas, and Nicolas is such a kind guy, and I think he shared the enthusiasm for bringing back that movie that was never done – even for a couple minutes in our movie. And yeah, the magic of the multiverse is expressing that this universe exists, even though it’s a movie that nobody saw. So, we’re kind of saying that there is a ‘Superman Lives.’”
For The Flash fans Cage’s cameo disaster was one of the disappointments they noted from the film. The movie’s box office result is also coming in a little dull as it has earned $75 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $130.1 million.
