On July 26, Ryan Reynolds posted a photo on his Instagram handle as he sat across from the Prime Minister of England, Rishi Sunak in his 10 Downing Street residence.
In the post, Reynolds could be seen having a deep conversation as Sunak listened very carefully. It intrigued fans until they rolled over to check what the actor had written in the caption.
The 46-year-old actor broke the news that Deadpool 3 had been paused and that he looked for opportunities in the UK with the help of the Prime Minister.
According to a June report, the film was expected to open six months ahead of its November 8 release date; i.e., May 3, 2024. But now, a document uploaded on Walt Disney’s official website on Aug 9 tells otherwise.

Is Deadpool 3 Not Coming Anytime Soon?
The answer to this question is written all over Hollywood as a multitude of projects have been facing hiccups, owing to the actors’ and writers’ strikes.
Deadpool 3 is supposed to mark Ryan Reynolds’ entry into the Marvel Studios’ roster of heroes alongside the much-loved Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. But, Disney’s slate of films ready to come out until June next year has removed it with no signs of an expected release date.
The production halted in July and Reynolds, who happens to have a greater creative control over Deadpool property, flew to England.
His post said –
“With Deadpool paused, we visited 10 Downing to discuss the excellence of UK film crews and @maximumeffort. Aside from shooting back home, the UK is my favorite place to make a movie. Hoping to see even more film work head to Wales.”
This indicates that much of the unfinished film might likely be shot in Wales, but Disney has not yet weighed in on the matter.

When Is Deadpool 3 Expected To Release?
Fans had been rejoicing since the set photos of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were released sporting their comic-accurate costumes.
But now as the project is in jeopardy, Reynolds can be seen pulling all the possible strings to make the film happen soon. Earlier reports claimed Deadpool 3 might also get affected due to the strikes.
Figuring out a release date for numerous projects is a challenge for Disney as the strikes aren’t expected to end anytime soon. Considering Disney’s released presentation document, Deadpool 3 may even take until 2025 to come to cinemas.
Currently, Brie Larson-led The Marvels is the only project that has a stable pathway for November 10 release date.
