Gamers have been eagerly waiting for information related to Modern Warfare 3’s competitive counterpart, XDefiant, and when it might release. A beta window made the hype even more palpable, and has fans very excited. The sad part is that gamers are now concerned about the long-term success of the game, and how it will be received by the general public.
XDefiant is a forthcoming video game that has been created by Ubisoft. The beta release of the title was a success, which has fans sitting patiently in wait for the full release to drop soon. I can only imagine what kind of new goodies the full version will hold for the game and how fans will respond to it.
The Reveal of XDefiant and MW3
Ever since it came out, XDefiant has been in direct competition with Call of Duty and the game is set to address things like Ranked Play and other public matches that have irked fans of Call of Duty.
Now, as fans wait for XDefiant to come into the forefront of the gaming industry, those who are excited for Modern Warfare 3 are left with a discontented feeling about how well the game will be received. Several fans were in agreement that Modern Warfare 2 was a disappointment for the Call of Duty community, but its sequel is looking to rectify all of those disappointments with features that observers have loved. It is also set to include classic maps that have been a great success with Call of Duty players in the past.
With that being said, XDefiant may not have what it takes to take on Call of Duty. The 20 year old franchise has been making hits since the day one and has been come a juggernaut when it comes to competition in the FPS genre.
Modern Warfare 3 May Have Some Competition With XDefiant
With all of the ho-hum going down in the gaming community, Modern Warfare 3 players have said that they would be less apt to play XDefiant, when it officially comes out. In any industry, it makes sense for there to be competition. That’s what makes the game even better because you have developers constantly upping the ante and giving fans what they are craving.
XDefiant does not have an official release date, but is slated to come out later this year. It’s up to the fans to decide whether or not the game will be a success or a failure. All we can do is hope for the best and that fans get exactly what they have been looking for.
What do you think of the upcoming launch for XDefiant? Will you be playing the game? Do you think it could present some serious competition for Modern Warfare 3? Let us know in the comments.
