Modern Warfare 3 is probably the worst kept secret of the year. And Sledgehammer Games have added further evidence that this year’s Call of Duty title will be a remake of the 2011 by updating their header photos. The Activision studio are now displaying their logo with one letter ‘E’ replaced by the Roman numeral ‘III’ on it’s side, which obviously alludes to the number 3.
This was made even more intriguing by the most recent post by CharlieINTEL on Twitter where there was apparent ‘leaked’ promotional material for the energy drink company Monster. The promotional image which appeared online on Monday, had the same Roman numeral which was later updated on the Social Media accounts for Sledgehammer. This was further highlighted by CharlieINTEL in a follow up Tweet.
And whilst there have been NUMEROUS rumours and leaks regarding the latest Call of Duty title, this is the first communication we’ve seen or heard from the studio, which would make fans think that an official announcement is inevitable.

What do we know so far about Modern Warfare 3?
The first details of the upcoming Call of Duty title were revealed back in February of this year with reports stating that the game would be a continuation of last year’s Modern Warfare 2 and that Sledgehammer Games would be developing.
And further breadcrumbs were provided last week by Activision when they seemingly confirmed that all MW2 operators, weapons bundles and entries will have the ability to be carried forward into this year’s title. Not only that but there has been claims that maps and modes from MW2 will also be carried over.

The publisher also made the following comment last week;
“development of this year’s full annual premium [Call of Duty] release on PC and console is proceeding well.”
And it has been rumoured that we could see details of the reveal event come when the company make their announcement of Modern Warfare 2 Season 5. This is expected to be launching next week and could indicate that we could be hearing about Modern Warfare 3 imminently.
