When someone says Microsoft, what is the first thing you think about? For some, it’s their Windows operating system. For others, their Internet Explorer. And for a numerous amount of people, they think of its flagship hardware products like the touchscreen personal computers.
And Gamers will undoubtedly think about Xbox. And now, they will be incredibly excited because Microsoft has created a series of Xbox Series X console wraps. These console wraps are designed to be a more affordable option instead of purchasing a separate limited edition console.
The company has revealed three wraps to kick off the product, including a special edition wrap for Gamers. Pre-orders for the wraps are open now.
The Crazy Wrap Design Inspired by Starfield
Along with two camouflage colors, a Starfield-inspired wrap will be available.
Xbox says this wrap has a “soft, smooth white high-tech feel” with painted-on tactile graphics. On the inside of the wrap, you’ll find a fabric that “has a soft precision sheen, with a silicone gravity wave print for cling and stability.”
The Starfield wrap matches a themed controller and headset Xbox recently started selling as it gears up for its most important game of the year. Monique Chatterjee, senior design director at Xbox explains:
“Key internal console components are highlighted through outlined access panel and game-inspired graphics.”
And if the Starfield wrap isn’t your style, Microsoft also announced two more warps: Arctic Camo and Mineral Camo.
The former is white, with touches of dark gray and a lighter grey for a neutral, arctic look, while the latter is blue, with hues of purple and teal mixed in. Like the Starfield wrap, the inside features a soft fabric.

The Affordable Game’s Aesthetics
Microsoft described these wraps as “more affordable and more sustainable than purchasing a special edition or limited edition console”. As third-party companies such as Dbrand have long been selling custom skins for Xbox consoles, it will be a better option.
Of the three designs, Microsoft is launching the Starfield wrap first. It’ll be available in Europe, Canada, and the US from 18th October, costing £44.99/$49.99 USD.
As for the camo options, they arrive a little later on 10th November and at the slightly cheaper price of £39.99/$44.99 USD. However, while both designs will be available in Canada and the US, only the Mineral Camo will be making its way to Europe initially.
