“It’s not just the Asian community. This is for the Asian community and anyone who has been identified as a minority. We deserve to be heard; we deserve to be seen; we deserve to have the equal opportunity so we can have a seat at table. That’s all we’re asking for. Give us an opportunity. Let us prove we are worth it.”
She joked about how she used her skills in kung fu and slammed her away into making history. She told that women around the world will no longer stand to be told that they are past their prime as they have so much potential remaining and an entire career to succeed.

Her speech primarily saw lots of aspects of a future where diversity and inclusivity were normal and ever-growing. Michelle Yeoh focused on how it has been a fight and a battle for such a long time to get where she is now, not as an individual, but as a minority.
“Light that fire in your soul and stay on the path. Believe. Dare to dream. Because if you don’t dream, it’s impossible. Nothing is impossible. Look at me, I’m here.”
She told people to never be afraid of their dreams, no matter how big or small they may be. It is never too late to achieve one’s goal and no one can come in between that.
