Creed star Michael B. Jordan has been cast in the movie adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. John Wick director Chad Stahelski will spearhead the project and will be produced for Paramount Pictures. This marks the sequel to the action thriller Without Remorse, which was released by Amazon in 2021.
Jordan will reprise his role as CIA operations officer and former Navy SEAL John Clark. The actor will co-produce the movie alongside Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans for Weed Road Pictures, and Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec for The Saw Mill.
John Wick’s Chad Stahelski Will Adapt Famous Video Game ‘Rainbow Six’
Details about the movie’s plot are still kept under wraps, and there is no confirmation if it will be released in theaters or on streaming platforms. The onset of the pandemic prevented the original movie to be released on the big screens, but since restrictions eased this year, there is a huge chance it will premiere in movie houses.
John Clark is one of the most well-known characters created by author Jack Ryan. He appears both in Without Remorse and Rainbow Six. The latter title is famously recognized as a video game adaptation.
Without Remorse was created to introduce the origins of John Clark, so the sequel is expected to show more of his quests. Stahelski was hired to direct the movie, and based on his work on the epic blockbuster John Wick, fans are expecting jam-packed action and badass stunts.
Stahelski started his career as a stuntman and stunt coordinator. His biggest break and directorial debut was 2014’s John Wick starring Keanu Reeves. The movie unexpectedly became a pop culture phenomenon, and with the success of the franchise, Stahelski managed to create his own movie universe.
John Wick Chapter 4 is set to release in theaters on March 24. Stahelski is also working on other projects, such as Black Samurai for Netflix, Shibumi for Warner Bros, and Project Nemesis for Sony TV.
