Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were one of the most iconic couples in the industry back in the day. However, fate had other plans for the duo as they decided to get separated back in 2015 after being together for almost a decade. The breakup and the subsequent divorce were quite hard for both of them as they also shared 3 children together.
Once in an interview, Jennifer Garner revealed how her life changed after her separation from Ben Affleck and also revealed how she once turned down a stranger for a date.

Relationships are tough and when it ends, it can take quite a toll on both the people involved. After Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner separated from each other, the Daredevil actress also went through a similar situation and was in a dark phase. Once talking to Vanity Fair, Garner talked about how she looked forward to getting past the ‘pity phase‘. She said,
“When the earth shakes, you go to what you know from childhood. All of a sudden I’m sitting down at the piano. I went back to church. I sat down and wrote bad poetry all day because I was so sad. I needed a dance class; it reminded me of my fight scenes and how I missed that. I feel the need to be physical and I feel the need to punch someone. You know what I look forward to? I look forward to getting past the pity stage. I look forward to just having a sense of humor.”
Despite their relationship falling apart, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have always had a good relationship with each other as they continue to co-parent their 3 kids together without any drama.
The Peppermint actress talks about how she likes the old-school idea of love
Jennifer Garner had quite a hard time moving on after her marriage with Ben Affleck fell apart and she once talked about how she even turned down a man for a date on an airplane. The actress narrated the incident and even revealed how she is obsessed with the old-school idea of pure love and affection. She said,
“We were waiting for the bathroom at JetBlue, and I was so floored. I had to remind myself that that was something that could happen. He said, ‘Could I take you for a cup of coffee?’ And I was like, ‘No! You may not take me for a cup of coffee, sir.’ And then I said, ‘But thanks for asking.’ ” All joking aside, I ask her if she can see herself dating. “I guess. I don’t know. It’s just that [from] everyone that I know that is dating it just seems, well…. Men don’t call anymore…. I want flowers; I don’t want to text. What does that make me? What kind of dinosaur am I?”
However, it all did work out for Jennifer Garner in the end as she met her long-time boyfriend, John Miller. The couple first got together in 2018 and then broke up in 2020. However, a year later they rekindled their romance and have been together ever since. Ben Affleck also shares a good relationship with Miller as last year the duo were seen sharing a laugh at his and Jennifer Garner’s residence.
