In the environment of the Hollywood industry, it could be pretty hard to find your footing and find the right one, if you want to make it big. Thankfully, it feels like Keanu Reeves knew what he was doing when he set foot in the film business. From starting strong by starring in many blockbusters in the past to making modern-day classics, the star has achieved what the industry had to offer and then some.
But somewhere along the way, just like most people on the planet, he too witnessed the magic of attraction to a person, and so did them. In a recent interview, Hollywood star Sandra Bullock opened up yet again about how she had a crush on her co-star and the face of The Matrix franchise, but she couldn’t act upon the feeling.
Sandra Bullock Regrets She Couldn’t Date Keanu Reeves
Many stories of romance and relationships starting with their first-time interactions on the sets of films are somewhat of a common occurrence in the Hollywood industry, so it was no surprise to learn that both Keanu Reeves, as well as his co-star Sandra Bullock, fell for each other on the sets of their then-upcoming film Speed. Both of them have not been shy about talking about it either, although they might have some regrets about not acting upon their feeling sooner.

During a feature on Reeves by Esquire back in November 2021, Bullock talked about her first-time interaction with the John Wick star and how they became good friends after they met, which only strengthened after they worked together on the Oscar-Winning film by Jan De Bont. Here, she also addressed the well-known crush she had on Reeves in the past, and after the interviewer asked if they had dated in the past, she replied with a genuine no. But then, The Blind Side star said that it was probably for the best. She said:
“Nope, but who knows? Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated, I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together.”
Thus, not trying to tarnish their friendship in any way in the future, both the stars reconciled with their feelings and never got into a relationship.

Where Are They Now?
Though they couldn’t become part of each other’s romantic lives, they still went on and found their own partners in the future. Sandra Bullock adopted her son back in 2010 named Louis, along with her daughter Laila in 2015. In the same year, she also started dating photographer Bryan Randall, whom she now lives with along with her children. Reeves also found a partner in his girlfriend Alexandra Grant after they officially declared they were dating in 2019. Thus, all turned out for the better in the end.
