“We’re going to get deeper into the characters. We’re going to see them in new ways, and it’s going to be an exciting thriller, and you’re never going to know who people are. Are they a Skrull? Are they a human? It’s going to be a bit of a guessing game.” Cobie Smulders said.

She stated that the show is a thriller of sorts and characters will be flushed out quite more. We will see them in different types of situations and the shapeshifting Skrulls will make trusting any character quite difficult.

What Do Critics Have to Say About Marvel’s Secret Invasion?

Samuel L. Jackson’s Secret Invasion has received quite positive reviews online, with people going as far as to say that this is Marvel at its best. Critics all over the internet are going crazy talking about how good the mini-series is. Here is what Josh Martin-Jones from Streamr has to say.

The Skrulls
Secret Invasion will answer questions about the status of The Skrulls on Earth

“The first two eps of Secret Invasion set the stage for a nerve-inducing and gritty thriller and keep you on the edge of your seat. This darker side of the MCU is just as enjoyable as the rest, proven by its gripping narrative, as well as some truly bold directions for the show,” said Josh Martin-Jones from Streamr.

One fan even went on to compare the show to the Star Wars series, Andor, which has been called the best series in the Star Wars franchise. The fan made this comparison because according to him, the show has very less weaknesses and the cinematography is impeccable. They also added that this series is the most human thing Marvel has put out in recent years.

Secret Invasion will premiere Disney+ on 21 June 2023.
