It is rumored that Sacha Baron Cohen will portray the character of Mephisto in the MCU. Many were hoping to see the debut of the demonic sorcerer in the Disney+ series of WandaVision, as fans were speculating till the very end that Mephisto was behind all the trouble caused in the series. But as per recent reports, Sacha Baron Cohen will debut in MCU with his own Disney+ special.
Sacha Baron Cohen Reportedly Playing Mephisto In Disney+ Special
Mephisto is the demonic sorcerer who has been appearing in Marvel comics for decades. The character is inspired by the demonic creature named Mephistopheles from the Faust legend. Marvel’s Mephisto is depicted as an immortal demon who possesses the ability to manipulate magical forces. The characters in comics have engaged with several Marvel heroes which include The Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and others. MCU can surely not miss such a powerful character to solely get restricted in comics. Fans are excited to see the character alive in the upcoming MCU projects.
It is speculated that Sacha Baron Cohen may play the character of Mephisto. The Who Is America? star’s name has always been in news as a possible candidate to play the role of the demon sorcerer. The hopes of fans were shattered as they were expecting the entry of Mephisto in the MCU through WandaVision. After that, there have been reports claiming that Mephisto will be seen in the MCU phase 5 by marking his appearance in the television series, Ironheart, and Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
The Shoot For Mephisto Has Allegedly Already Begun
Amid all the speculation of Sacha Baron Cohen debuting in the MCU with the character Mephisto, no concrete reports have been made. But a new report claims that there would be a separate Disney+ special for the justification of the demonic character, Mephisto. And, the shooting for the same has already begun. Jeff Sneider made this big announcement on the latest episode of John Rocha’s The Hot Mic.
“They told me there’s a Mephisto special filming on the set of Agatha: House of Harkness (now, Agatha: Coven of Chaos). It sounds like they may be doing his very own special.”

It is still unclear whether Mephisto will make his MCU debut or not. As nothing has been officially confirmed by the makers. Still, fans are looking forward to seeing the debut of Mephisto in the MCU.
