And as we witnessed in Hawkeye, we also have Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin making an appearance in the MCU, which means we will see the terror of the villain in the upcoming show as well. But along with all the familiar faces, we were also greeted by the fact that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will be making his MCU debut as well, although fans are assuming that he might not be an ally to our protagonist.

While we have got a glimpse of what kind of relationship Charlie Cox had with Jon Bernthal in the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil, there were doubts in the fans’ minds when it came to the fact that will they would even see the return of The Punisher in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. But with the latest announcement clarifying that doubt, people are now wondering whether they would get a repeat of the last time the two vigilantes interacted.

As we saw in season two of Netflix’s version of the show, both of them differ from each on an ideological level. While Matt Murdock is a law-abiding banner for justice through the broken system of justice, Frank Castle is a savage assailant who brings down his enemies with brute force and/or ballistic resources, becoming the judge, jury, and executioner all on his own. Thus, we saw Daredevil trying to stop The Punisher from turning the streets of Hell’s Kitchen into a butcher block for the cartel and the mob.

Thus, many fans are convinced that the next interaction between these two justice seekers might result in the both of them going to blows with each other yet again. But with the change in the script, we might also see both of them team up to reach a common goal as well, the goal being taking down Wilson Fisk.
