Lord of the Rings fans have been curious as to what the upcoming Middle-Earth series, produced Amazon, would actually be about. Thankfully, we now have some answers from the official synopsis via TheOneRing.net, that detail when Lord of the Rings series will take place and the types of characters that will be featured.

“Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R.
