Liam Hemsworth Knee-deep In The Witcher Books, Pushing His Body For Better Physique Than Henry Cavill

Liam Hemsworth Knee-deep In The Witcher Books, Pushing His Body For Better Physique Than Henry Cavill

After the unfortunate exit of Henry Cavill from Netflix’s once number-one show The Witcher, Liam Hemsworth has taken the role of Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill had been tremendous in The Witcher, with fans referring to him as the perfect embodiment of Geralt, while others called him the main reason the show has survived for so long. So naturally the Hunger Games star has some major boots to fill.

Nobody else could have played Geralt of Rivia as perfectly as Henry Cavill did. With his dashing blue eyes, impeccable screen presence, and not to mention his epic physique, there is not a single thing to dislike about Henry Cavill as Geralt. Despite the positive reactions, the Enola Holmes actor has bid his adieu to the show without any reasonable explanation. With the recently released season 3 as his last feat as the extraordinary Witcher, Liam Hemsworth is all set to take up the role and replace him in future seasons.

Liam Hemsworth is an incredible actor but essaying a role that Henry Cavill already did a perfect job with is going to be extremely challenging and tough. And seems like even the star himself is aware of that as he has been working incredibly hard. In an interview, his co-stars revealed how he has been preparing for the role.

“We’ve been emailing, we’ve been exchanging our favorite quotes from the books and things like that. I don’t think any of us are in the position to advise on playing Geralt but he’s throwing himself into it. His training regime is insane and he’s been devouring the books.”

It would be interesting to see how his hard work pays off since it won’t be easy to please the fans who already have declared nobody could replace Henry Cavill as the Witcher.

Henry Cavill’s exit from The Witcher was a complete bolt from the blue. While some would regard Superman as the perfect role for Cavill, the majority would name Geralt of Rivia as the perfect role Henry Cavill could ever play. A true match made in heaven kind of thing, fans have had different reactions to Liam Hemsworth taking on the iconic role.

While Liam Hemsworth’s fans could not be more excited for the actor, Cavill’s fans have declared that they too would put down their ‘remotes and devices’ after season 3. Others declared that the only reason to watch the show was Henry Cavill, while some even went ahead to claim ‘he was the show’.

In the sea of these tumultuous and disappointing reactions, it is going to be rather hard for Liam Hemsworth to navigate through. And we couldn’t be more keen to see how the younger Hemsworth makes his way out or if he could even manage to do so in the first place.

You can stream The Witcher on Netflix.
