Anthony Mackie has been portraying the role of Falcon from the early days of the MCU. As the actor is stepping in as Captain America, he already had a mammoth task to pull off. But the addition of Harrison Ford presented another challenge to the actor who found the Han Solo actor’s aura to be extremely intimidating.

It can be felt that Mackie had an unforgettable experience with Ford that made him speechless. The Avengers: Endgame elaborated further that Harrison Ford pulled off his scenes with such ease that he almost forgot his lines.

“The first day was so intimidating. I was so f*cking nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison f*cking Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be. He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of sh*t.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this sh*t.’”

Ford’s attitude towards the role showed that it was not much of a big deal for the star to pull off the role. Anthony Mackie who earlier worked with the superstar in a minor role in Hollywood Homicide explained the on-screen relationship of their characters. He stated that both the characters always respected each other.

“We spent a good bit of time together. Ross and Cap have always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always bumped heads. That’s their relationship in the storyline.”

It will be exciting to see how the character of Harrison Ford plays out in the MCU. Earlier, the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star also commented that he was having a great time filming the MCU flick. But on the other hand, Anthony Mackie faced quite a big challenge as he succeeds to one of the top-tier characters of all time.

Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers is still celebrated by the fans as one of the favorites of all time. Not only is his trilogy one of the best ones but Evans presented the hero with a charm of his own. As the vibranium shield is passed on to our Sam Wilson now, that was quite a responsibility for the actor.

Talking to Inverse, the 44-year-old Mackie revealed the pressures he faced while filling in the shoes of one of the greatest MCU superheroes.

“There’s a huge amount of pressure. You throw my dumb a** in the water, and you’re like, ‘Swim.’ I’m like, ‘Sh*t.’”

But it’s good that the “state of mind” and the familiar cast helped the Miss Bala actor to overcome his trouble and pull off the movie. Besides Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, the movie also brings back The Incredible Hulk‘s Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler along with Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ series. Additionally, WWE fame Seth Rollins is also set to appear in the movie.
