While Killers of the Flower Moon hasn’t been released yet, it has been revealed that Scorsese and DiCaprio would be reuniting for another book-based project reportedly called The Wager. A shipwreck thriller. As confirmed by David Grann, the movie would be based on his book The Wager: A Tale Of Shipwreck, Mutiny, And Murder. Grann is the same writer whose book serves as the basis of Killers of the Flower Moon. The movie adaptation rights have already been purchased by Apple, and it would be based in the 1700s focusing on the British naval ship and crew.

A movie said to be the full package when it comes to suspense and thriller, fans cannot wait to witness the epic journey of the shipwrecked crew.

A historical thriller based on a perilous voyage and its subsequent arrival at a desolate island off Patagonia’s coast, The Wager is a harrowing journey of the British naval ship. As the survivors battle shipwreck and grapple with the terrors of isolation, they are faced with even more violent times as they return to civilization.

A truly suspenseful and magnificent story, the book received critical acclaim and was labeled as a glorious yet harrowing tale of adventure. Not only does it contain the right elements of suspense, introduced at the right time, but Grann’s magnificent story writing is enough to make us jealous yet amazed.

Grann’s spectacular vision brought to life by Martin Scorsese’s brilliant directing abilities combined with Leonardo DiCaprio’s exceptional acting, the movie would be an epic success, if not a brilliant masterpiece.
