Leaked images of the Lenovo Legion Go have just dropped and they’ve certainly got fans talking. And it seems that many of them are sharing the same view, that it looks like a combination of the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch. Some referring to it as the ‘lovechild’ of both of these.
It looks like Valve’s Steam Deck has a bit of competition on it’s hands with a new challenger to the throne of the Premium Handheld. And if the images are anything to go by, we’re looking forward to what Lenovo’s offering has to bring.

What do we know about the Lenovo Legion Go?
We recently reported that Lenovo were working on a new handheld gaming PC which will run on Windows, and was set to rival Valve’s Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally, the latter of which isn’t seen as much of a rival to anything.
It is confirmed that the Legion Go will have an Eight inch screen and from the leaked images we can see that it has what looks like joy-con controllers. So no surprises there that the similarities to the Nintendo Switch were immediately suggested. And from some of the images leaked we can see a kickstand which would suggest that if you wanted to, you could have it set up tabletop gaming.

Now if we look at the controllers themselves, we can see that there is that similarity of the Switch’s removable Joy-cons but with a certain comparison to the contoured grips of the Steam Deck. But unlike the Steam Deck, the Lenovo Legion Go has only one touchpad on the right controller, the former having it on both sides.
And if you look a little closer on the right controller there appears to be a wheel and given the the controllers can be removed, this has led to speculation that the screen will be a touchscreen.
What is also apparent from the images is that the Lenovo Legion Go is a thick handheld which no doubt will aid in battery life. Unlike the Asus ROG Ally which in its attempts to be more streamlined, affected the battery life to its detriment.
It’s reported that the Lenovo Legion Go will run on Windows 11, this meaning that you should be able to play any of the Window’s games which support the handheld’s specs. And as we previously reported, the LLG is said to use AMD Phoenix processors, which are found are also found in the Asus ROG Ally and other upcoming Windows handhelds
One thing is for sure, the leaked images of the ‘lovechild’ of the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch have got fans sitting up and taking notice. Just don’t call it the Windows Switch!
