Hollywood stars Taron Egerton and Rachel Weisz recently appeared for an Actor-On-Actor interview with Variety. In the interview, the two talked about their shows and how was their experience playing their complex characters. During the interview, Weisz also discovered that Egerton once claimed that Weisz is his celebrity crush.
In their own ways, the two have worked hard over the years to establish themselves as successful celebrities. Weisz gained recognition in the 2000s, thanks to her role as Evelyn in The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001). On the other hand, 33-year-old Taron Egerton gained popularity after he starred as Gary “Eggsy” Unwin in the Kingsman franchise in the 2010s.
Taron Egerton got in shape for his Apple TV+ series
In the interview with Variety, actor Taron Egerton talked about his Apple TV+ series, Black Bird, while actress Rachel Weisz talked about her dual role in Amazon Prime Video’s Dead Ringers. Egerton explained why getting in shape was important to portray his character, James Keene,
“I got in the best shape I could — the biggest, most gym-ratty shape I could get into. It’s this attempt to protect himself. He’s just not engaged with his own feelings.”
The six-episode miniseries premiered on Apple TV+ on July 8th, 2022. The show is based on the 2010 autobiographical novel In with the Devil: a Fallen Hero, a Serial Killer, and a Dangerous Bargain for Redemption.
Rachel Weisz talked about her role in Dead Ringers
In Dead Ringers, Rachel Weisz plays the dual role of identical twin gynecologists Elliot and Beverly. The actress said,
“The most fun thing for me was Beverly pretending to be Elliot or Elliot pretending to be Beverly. That was a delightful, delicious challenge. We start with Elliot. We figured it out after about five days of filming, because Elliot moves around. And Beverly will fit into the gaps that Elliot’s left for her. Psychologically, it made sense.”
The series, which is based on the 1988 film of the same name, premiered on Amazon Prime Video on April 21st, 2023.

Rachel Weisz is Taron Egerton’s celebrity crush
During the interview, Rachel Weisz also discovered that she is Taron Egerton’s celebrity crush. She was given an iPad and she saw a video of Egerton’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live roughly four years ago. In that clip, Egerton revealed that Rachel Weisz is his celebrity crush. As soon as the actor realized it, he was embarrassed and later said,
“So someone’s just handed Rachel an iPad of me saying that my first-ever crush was Rachel. So here we are, sitting in the awkwardness.”
Weisz then said that she is “very honored” and revealed that her celebrity crush was Marc Almond.
