During the 2022 D23 Expo, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige officially confirmed Fantastic Four’s entry in the MCU. The superhero team will join the cinematic universe in the sixth phase and the potential cast of the film has been one of many topics of conversation among fans. While many want John Krasinski to return as Mr. Fantastic in the MCU, others have different suggestions.
Matt Shakman, the director of the film, also claimed that the studio does not have anything to announce about the film. However, reporter Justin Kroll has shared that the studio head is gearing up to cast the superhero team.

Kevin Feige’s Thorough Approach To Fantastic Four Casting
Earlier, Matt Shakman shared that they are still in the early process and the studio does not have anything to announce as of now. While the studio does not have anything for fans, Marvel fans surely have a long list of actors they would love to see in the film.
And seems like the studio has started taking action, as film reporter Justin Kroll shared that the studio will begin the casting of Fantastic Four this month. He also mentioned that its filming would not start “till the top of 24.”
He further shared that although the studio would start the process now, it could still take months for them to announce the official cast of the film as the president of the studio, Kevin Feige, is being very cautious about it.
“Just to be clear, even if something is getting active or gearing up, could still be weeks or even months before we have our four actors, given how thorough the studio and Feige are.”
He also shared that the studio is planning to cast Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, first and then go ahead with the casting of the rest of the team. While the studio starts looking for their Invisible Woman, fans have shared who they want to see as Mr. Fantastic in the MCU. And followed by multiple actors, Morbius star Jared Leto has also joined the race to be Reed Richards in the MCU.

Fans Approve Jared Leto as Mr. Fantastic
Fans have been discussing the possible cast of Fantastic Four since the studio announced the film. And although it is believed that John Krasinski will not be reprising his role in the Doctor Stranger sequel, fans are still rooting for him to be Reed Richards in the MCU’s Fantastic Four.
In the midst of all this, a surprising fan cast took place after a Twitter user shared that would love to see Jared Leto as the leader of the superhero team. While some approved of the fan cast, others did not seem to like the idea of seeing the 51-year-old actor as Reed Richards.
Fans also mentioned how it could be good for the studio to take a thorough approach to cast, as they would not want to mess up Marvel’s first family entry into the MCU. Rudy Pnkow and Drew Powell seem to be taking the lead in the fan-casting of Human Torch and The Thing, respectively.
Considering that the film has around two years till its release, the studio could take a little longer to officially confirm the cast, but it would all be worth it if the cast and the film live up to fans’ expectations.
