With Michael Myers, Freddy Kreuger and Jason Vorhees all returning to the big screen, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if a remake of Candyman also comes up. And well, reportedly the film is being discussed and we’re sure that this will get all horror fans excited.
This report comes via Bloody-Disgusting that reveals Get Out director, Jordan Peele, is in talks to produce and direct the new Candyman film. The director won an Oscar for Get Out and since then, he has been one of the most talked about directors in Hollywood.
The report further reveals that the film rights to Candyman are available after two films by Tri-Star and the third by Artisan in 1999. However, currently the report hints that Peele’s production company Monkeypaw Productions are working on the project. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet and we don’t know if Peele is interested in directing the film.

The last Candyman film was released in 1999 while the original Candyman was released in 1992, starring Tony Todd as the titular character.
