Jonathan Majors started the year on a great note with two films that gave him prominence and recognition. Despite the lukewarm responses to Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Majors’ performance as the chilling villain Kang was highly lauded. The actor backed it up with his powerful portrayal as Michael B. Jordan’s boxing rival in Creed 3.
But Majors’ success was marred by an unfortunate incident when the star was accused and arrested for alleged assault and violence against his rumored girlfriend. While Jonathan Majors was subsequently released after claiming his innocence, the charges have now set of a domino effect in the actor’s life especially with regard to his status in Hollywood.
Hollywood Turns Its Back On Jonathan Majors
In March, Jonathan Majors hit a major roadblock in his life and career when he was charged with allegedly assaulting a woman rumored to be his girlfriend. According to reports, Majors was booked for trying to strangulate the woman after an altercation in the car, leaving her with injuries around her neck and to her head. The actor was subsequently released on bail but the investigation is said to be active and ongoing according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
Despite vouching for his innocence in a statement, Jonathan Majors’ Hollywood career has taken a beating. According to inside sources, the actor has been sidelined by many of his peers and associates who have refused to lend their support. This also included his talent management company Entertainment 360 which stepped down from representing him further.
“It’s no surprise that his phone is ringing much less these days. That is what happens in all walks of life — but especially in Hollywood. Friends turn cold,”
The source also stated that despite Majors’ talent as an actor and his powerful performances this year, he will need to gather a new team in order to resurrect his career in Hollywood and regain his friendships after this unfortunate incident.
Jonathan Majors’ Troubles Continue With More Charges
The term “when it rains it pours” seems to be an apt analogy for Jonathan Majors and his current problems. The star who was arrested in March on charges of assault and violence, is facing trouble yet again as he prepares for a May 8 court appearance. According to reports coming in, multiple alleged abuse victims of Majors have come forward following his March arrest to accuse him of wrongful behavior. While the exact nature of the allegations are yet to be detailed, it is known that these women are cooperating with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office to bring Majors down and get justice.
This further adds to the Creed 3 star’s woes and will deeply affect his future collaborations with film projects and brands that he has been endorsing. With the actor already stepping down from his association with Valentino at the Met Gala and his PR firm the Lede Company, it remains to be seen how his future will play out with Marvel Studios who currently have him on board as the prominent character in the future MCU films including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
