The big bad villain of Marvel is facing his own nightmares as Jonathan Majors, who played the iconic Kang the Conqueror, is under fire for assault allegations. Just when his career is soaring to new heights, the actor goes toe-to-toe with the law following complaints of domestic violence.
But before all that controversy, Majors radiated success through hard work and determination. He started accepting projects while still enrolled at the Yale School of Drama. The 33-year-old actor continued appearing in several films through the years, but his roles in Disney+’s Loki and Michael B. Jordan’s Creed III propelled him to stardom.

Jonathan Majors Reveals Strange Habit That Many Fans Noticed
Before the allegations came out of the cage, Jonathan Majors was already hailed a superstar. Starring in two major franchises with upcoming projects lined up for the year is proof that he has become one of the most in-demand actors of our time.
While appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Majors explained a strange habit that fans seemed to notice: he carries a cup wherever he goes.
“I’ve been doing it since I left my mother’s house when I was around 18. She was so terrified of the circus that I’ve joined. My mum’s a pastor, and she was very clear about safety. She would say, ‘No drinking, no drugs, no sex’ every time I left the house.”
Majors revealed he uses four cups alternately, bearing the advice his mother gave him on his road to success:
“The drinking was a thing, and she’d always say, ‘So baby, watch your cup. Watch your glass.’ And I kept that in mind. It means mind your cup. You’re a vessel. Nobody can fill you up. Nobody can pour you out. You do that yourself.”
The actor confessed that carrying a cup reminds him of his mother’s words of wisdom:
“Holding onto this cup is a reminder that even in this craziness that’s happening, my self-esteem is my self-esteem. No one can big me up as it were or tear me down.”
With his present circumstance, Majors needs to hold on to those cups as firmly as he can. The actor was reportedly dropped by his talent agency and publicist following the assault allegations. So far, Marvel Studios is not yet discussing Majors’ future in the MCU.
Jonathan Majors’ Career Now At Stake Following Assault Controversy
Majors’ attorney has denied all allegations and claims that all charges against him are false. These words did not convince several brands and collaborators as they have finally severed ties with the accused actor.
Two major US Army recruitment ads dropped Majors as the face of their campaign after his arrest. Aside from his talent management, Italian fashion house Valentino has told Majors not to attend this year’s Met Gala event. Baseball team Texas Rangers also removed Majors from their ad campaigns.
Movie projects he was attached to before but now dropped from include the upcoming adaptation of Walter Mosley’s novel, The Man in My Basement, and the biopic Otis and Zelma.
Jonathan Majors is set to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror in upcoming Marvel projects, including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but until the studio has come to a decision, the actor’s future in the MCU remains in danger.
