After making his official debut as Kang The Conqueror in the MCU through Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it was evident that Marvel was planning something major for Jonathan Majors. But even though the whole roadmap for Majors to become the next big threat for the Avengers was already constructed. But following the recent drama surrounding the actor, the MCU might have to take a step back.
Although there hasn’t been any substantial evidence behind the alleged assault accusations against Jonathan Majors, it seems that the MCU has already started to prepare some contingency plans.
Marvel reportedly eying for potential replacements for Kang in the MCU
Considering that the MCU has already laid out its plan for its upcoming phases, the drama surrounding Jonathan Majors has created some major concerns for the MCU. And following the gravity of the allegations, it seems that the studios have already started to set up some contingency plans for the future.
According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, the MCU is reportedly looking for some potential replacements for the role of Kang and is allegedly eying for an actor like Damson Idris if things go worse. Sneider said,
“I’ve heard that’s the kind of actor, who, like, if Jonathan Majors got the boot as Kang, someone like Damson Idris is the type of the person that [Marvel] may look at to replace him if that, in fact, happens.”
Although the studios might be setting up some contingency plans if things didn’t turn out well for Majors in the future. But it is being reported that the Marvel studios aren’t rushing about the situation.

Although there have been reports of the studios allegedly discussing the future of Majors in the MCU, but it seems that the studio executives aren’t rushing with their decisions. Considering that the MCU has invested a lot in Majors’ Kang for their upcoming Phase 5 and Phase 6, it’s reasonable to assume why the studios are hesitant about making any major decision regarding the matter. Sneider previously explained the situation by stating,’
“Marvel hasn’t made any decisions regarding Jonathan Majors, but they’ve met with or spoken to his agent to discuss potential options going forward.”
Although the future of Jonathan Majors’ future as the next big baddie in the world’s biggest franchise remains under wraps. It seems that there will not be any major updates from Marvel’s side before the final verdict of the ongoing case surrounding the Creed 3 star.
