Jim Carrey and Lauren Holly won the Best Kiss prize that year for their work on the movie Dumb and Dumber. Carrey thus used the opportunity to strike revenge on the singer. Isaak was greeted by The Mask actor as he entered the stage to claim the trophy and he kissed him to extract revenge.
During the filming of The Mask Carrey and Diaz became extremely close, and their chemistry was undeniable, however, there was no confirmation of their affair.
