And Jennifer Lawrence, or at least her old toilet, might win the award for the weirdest Craigslist ad.

The mother of The Hunger Games actress did not give a damn about selling a particular piece of household items. This is true that many people have turned to used and repurposed goods in recent years as a way to reduce waste as they have grown more aware of their impact on the environment. Clothing, furniture, appliances, and yes, even toilets are all included in this.

Although it might seem strange to some, using used items can not only save money but also help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. However, Lawrence’s mother considered selling the used household item rather than reusing it.

Jennifer Lawrence’s Mother Once Listed Her Toilet For Sale On Craigslist

Just try to picture your colleague purchasing something from your mother that you once sh*t into.

Lee Eisenberg, a screenwriter, outbid everyone for the right to purchase Jennifer Lawrence’s former bathroom product. The 32-year-old actress claimed in an interview with People published on Thursday that Eisenberg had bought a broken toilet from her mother.

“Years ago, Lee Eisenberg bought a toilet on Craigslist from my mom [Karen]. My toilet.”

When asked for more information about the alleged sale, the Oscar-winning actress shook her head and said:

“I do not know. I’m like, ‘I broke it. My mom sold it for me.'”

On the other hand, the 46-year-old writer-producer refuted the Passengers actress’s claim. In a post that included a screenshot of the People article, Eisenberg reacted quickly and declared Lawrence’s story to be “completely untrue” (via Instagram).

‘It’s a thrill to be a part of the cultural conversation.” Eisenberg captioned the photo for his roughly 4,338 followers (as of this writing):

“I have never bought Jennifer Lawrence’s old toilets, but maybe this will open the door.”

Lawrence appeared to be simply having a good time ‌spicing up her press appearances for the upcoming comedy that she also co-produced. She was raised in Louisville, Kentucky, by her parents, Karen, and Gary Lawrence.

The actress once told 60 Minutes in 2018 that her parents made sacrifices for her career.

She Called Herself A ‘Weirdo’ In Her Childhood Days

During the same interview, Jennifer Lawrence described herself as a “weirdo” who used to tell her teachers and classmates that she had a peg leg.

“And I, like, walked in a very consistent limp. Like, incredibly consistent. And when my mom came to get me from school, my teachers were, like, ‘It’s awful what happened to Jennifer’s leg.’ And my mom was, like, ‘She does not have—she’s—her leg has not been amputated.’ I used to just invent stories just to invent them.”

The actress further added that her parents used to lock her out of the house when they got tired of her mischief.

“I was a handful. And I got it. We never fought about it. I’ve always been very self-aware about my annoyingness.”
