Actors Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde’s relationship and subsequent breakup has been one of the most talked about celebrity news in Hollywood. The two stars who got together in 2011 have two kids, a son, Otis, and a daughter, Daisy. The pair announced their engagement in 2013 but ended their relationship in 2020, right before Olivia Wilde’s much-publicized affair with singing superstar Harry Styles became public. But if sources are to be believed, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for Jason Sudeikis and his ex.
Jason Sudeikis praises Olivia Wilde, hopes to reconcile
There has been much speculation floating around that Jason Sudeikis is very open to reuniting with Olivia Wilde following the Don’t Worry Darling director’s breakup with her lead actor Harry Styles. According to news coming in, the We’re The Millers star has been extremely appreciative of his ex, calling her “amazing and talented”. Stating that the brief but sizzling affair was only a minor roadblock, the actor has been quoted saying that he “always hoped that she’d be back”.
Friends though have not been happy with his change of heart, and have apparently cautioned the actor-comedian to rethink his opinion. Despite Jason Sudeikis’s belief that time is the best healer, his close circle feels that Olivia Wilde may give him false hope that will not materialize into a positive result. This comes after both celebrities were seen hugging in public, thereby sparking rumors of a possible reconciliation amidst an ongoing legal custody battle. But according to alternative sources, there seems to be a different reason for the ex-lovers meeting up and it most probably does not involve romance.
The kids look to be the main focus for the two stars
After a highly public estrangement, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde continue to co-parent their two children, Otis and Daisy. It looks like the main priority for the two actors, despite their differences, is doing what is best for their children. This seems to be the defining reason behind the Ted Lasso actor lending an olive branch to his ex to initiate a reconciliation. This may also be why both parents were seen exchanging pleasantries in public to possibly discuss a peaceful resolution to their legal battles involving their children.
According to Jason Sudeikis’ lawyer, the Horrible Bosses star does not expect any child support from the Tron: Legacy actor but is willing to offer her a reasonable amount instead. There are many obstacles, legal and emotional, that both stars have to cross in order to arrive at an understanding. Whether these amiable talks will eventually lead to the romantic reconciliation that Jason Sudeikis seems to indicate, only time will tell.
