But unlike Katie Holmes, who seems to have moved on, it appears Foxx is reportedly adamant about getting back into the actress’ life after he recently recovered from a critical medical complication.

Back in April, Jamie Foxx was hospitalized following undisclosed medical concerns which threatened the actor’s life. With a source stating the Day Shift star “is very lucky to be alive!” it seems the 55-year-old isn’t going to take his second chance at life for granted. One source claimed the actor is adamant about rekindling romance with Katie Holmes, as he deeply regrets parting ways with her, stating none of his other bonds “came close to matching what he had with Katie”. The source continued,
“Their chemistry was off the charts. It was a romance born of passion but became so much more. In hindsight, Jamie can’t believe he let her slip through his fingers. He knows and respects that she’s moved on, but if she were open to taking him back, that would be the dream scenario!”
And it appears, that Katie Holmes too doesn’t hold any grudges against her ex-boyfriend, as after Foxx’s hospitalization, an insider stated that the actress was reportedly concerned for his health. The insider further claimed that the actress “will always care for him.”

Although the reasons behind their quiet breakup back in 2019 remain under wraps, some reports emerged claiming that media scrutiny and long-distance contributed to their eventual split. But one source stated Holmes was reportedly tired of Jamie Foxx’s way of living and partying, which forced her to step out of the relationship. The insider stated,
“He’s disrespectful and their lives were different. His partying ways don’t fit with hers as she’s focused on raising her daughter and working.”
Considering the duo mostly kept their private lives away from the media eye, it’s hard to pinpoint the exact reasons that led to their unfortunate split-up.
