Jackie Chan Made X-Men Star Olivia Munn Bang Her Head, Felt Amazed When She Agreed To Hit It Against A Solid Object

If there was a legend who bought a revolutionary change to martial arts-based movies, it was definitely Jackie Chan. With his years of experience in the field, the action hero has given an unparalleled contribution to the entertainment industry, his movies are the perfect mixture of fun and fighting. And for an actor who performs most of his stunts by himself, Chan is more than eligible to teach the different fighting arts to others as well.

This included the X-Men star Olivia Munn, to whom Jackie Chan taught how to break wood with her hand as well as her head, after which the actress felt ‘amazed’ banging her head against a solid object in a viral video.

A little time before The LEGO Ninjago Movie was released back in 2017, Jackie Chan and his co-voice-actress from the movie, Olivia Munn came together to answer questions related to martial arts from Twitter. That’s when the Rush Hour star made the X-Men actress bang her head on a solid object. In the video, a Twitter user posted a question asking,

“I really don’t understand how karate people break through cement and sh-t with their hands?”

Turning towards the martial arts specialist, Munn further asked how. To this, Jackie Chan responded by revealing how there is a certain kind of wood that can be broken if you find the right spot on it, explaining how it’s all about aim and not power. He then taught the X-Men star how to break the wood with his palm using his shoulder, and then made her do it.

He then proceeded to tell her that she could break it with her head as well. Encouraging her to go for it, Olivia Munn found herself banging her head on the piece of wood that Chan was holding and broke it into two pieces, looking seemingly amazed at herself for doing something so difficult.

For the 2017 version LEGO remake of the Ninjago movie, Jackie Chan, who gave his voice to Master Woo in the movie, revealed how he trained his entire stunt team for the film. Sharing his experience during the making of the film, he said,

“It was interesting to make real-life action into animation. My favorite fight of the movie is between me and Garmaddon. It’s a very important moment. I want the action design to be very special. In the movie, I played Master Woo, so I’m the teacher of my stunt team and the Ninjago team. I’m very proud of the Jackie Chan stunt team. They are the best of the best, so the students of Ninjago should be the best.”

Although the LEGO remake of the Ninjago movie received mixed reviews from the audience, claiming it was good but not up to the previous versions, it’s great to know that everything on set including Jackie Chan greatly enjoyed the time the movie was being made, making it worth watching.
