With The Walking Dead approaching its end on November 20 after running for a lengthy period of 12 years, fans of the show are naturally emotional following its finale episode. But turns out Adele is just as big a fan of the series as anyone else as the pop-soul icon very recently gave a massive shoutout to zombie apocalypse drama at her Las Vegas residency concert.
The evening soon turned into an exciting and clamorous infusion of apologies for the fans concerning last January’s hasty cancellation of her show along with surprisingly unexpected shoutouts to AMC’s popular gory TV show and the Priestess of Pop, Céline Dion.
Safe to say, Adele’s opening night performance was no short of a blast.

Adele gives a massive shoutout to The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead‘s finale received an amazing boost and incredible support from Adele as the world-famous English singer and songwriter gave the renowned TV series a shoutout on November 18 during her opening night performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

“I’ve got a lot to tell you. It’s a bloody massive week for me. It is the Walking Dead finale on Sunday — can you believe that? Do we have any Walking Dead fans here? I’ve been obsessed with The Walking Dead for over a decade and on Sunday it is all coming to an end … and obviously, it’s opening night and the Grammys and the World Cup.”
The last week had already been an emotional rollercoaster for the award-winning singer with her bringing home seven Grammy nominations, so bidding farewell to her favorite show on Sunday following its finale naturally ended up becoming the cherry on the cake for Adele.
AMC’s The Walking Dead comes to an end after 12 years
First premiering in October 2010, The Walking Dead took off shortly after its first season and became renowned for its gory graphics and captivating apocalyptic plot with the show gaining a monumental fan following, which although is argued to have died down post the fifth season, is still very much prominent and more so with loyal fans. And if Adele is fangirling over the series, then surely it must be doing something right.
An adaptation of the comic book series of the same name with Robert Kirkman as the writer and Tony Moore along with Charlie Adlard serving as the artists, the TV show was first launched on AMC Networks. Ever since, The Walking Dead has been the recipient of a number of accolades including multiple Saturn Awards and People’s Choice Awards for the best television series to name a few.

Following the show’s success, a plethora of spin-off series have also been brought to life like Fear the Walking Dead which took off in 2015 and is still streaming today, and Tales of the Walking Dead which was released in August this very year, to name a few.
After running for 12 long years, the zombie drama has sadly enough completed its journey with its final episode having released this Sunday, November 20, 2022.
