The Guardians of the Galaxy cast features a captivating and varied group of characters that have captured the affection of global audiences. Guided by the charismatic and witty portrayal of Star-Lord by Chris Pratt, the team is further enriched by Zoe Saldana’s portrayal of the fierce and formidable Gamora and Dave Bautista’s embodiment of the stoic yet endearing Drax the Destroyer.
Additionally, Bradley Cooper skillfully lends his voice to the wisecracking Rocket Raccoon, while Vin Diesel’s iconic voice brings life to the endearing tree-like creature, Groot. Collectively, they unite as an extraordinary band of heroes whose chemistry and camaraderie deliver a seamless fusion of action, humor, and heartfelt moments within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Chris Pratt once did something that the cast wasn’t ready for.
Chris Pratt Said Something Absurd During An Interview
During an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the leading cast of Guardians of the Galaxy appeared. The host jokingly asked Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper whether they get into their tree and raccoon costumes before recording the voiceovers.
“You’re not actually inside the body of a raccoon. Nor are you inside a tree,” Jimmy Kimmel asked Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. In response, both actors said they hadn’t done any such antics for their roles in the popular MCU film. However, to everyone’s surprise, Chris Pratt had a shocking response to Kimmel’s question. The actor said, “I have been inside of both.” While everyone was shocked by his response, they laughed it off.
The cast’s latest Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has garnered widespread critical acclaim, earning praise for its humor, action, emotional depth, and the masterful direction of James Gunn. Critics have particularly commended the film’s humor, describing it as a delightful combination of laugh-out-loud funny moments and heartwarming elements.
Chriss Pratt Auditioned For Other MCU Roles Before GOTG
Chris Pratt’s portrayal of Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy films is so flawlessly executed that it’s difficult to envision anyone else stepping into the role with the same charisma and charm. Surprisingly, it has come to light that the actor actually auditioned for a different role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe before landing the iconic character of Star-Lord.
“I auditioned for them all. I had a rough run with Marvel,” Pratt told Jimmy Kimmel. “It got to the point where I was never gonna audition for Marvel again. I was like, ‘This is stupid, I’m never gonna be in a Marvel movie.'”
During the discussion, Chris Pratt provided further details, divulging that he had auditioned for at least two other films within the Marvel franchise but was not selected for those roles. Additionally, he shared insights about his experiences of being turned down by a couple of other prominent franchises.
