However, despite being a great actress, she never got the offer for the role she wanted to play desperately. Johansson has opened up that she always wanted to play a Disney princess, but her dream never came true.
Scarlett Johansson Wanted to Be a Disney Princess
Over several decades Disney has created a dream world for many young girls with their fairy tales and princesses. And just like many other girls, the Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson has also shared that she has always wanted to be a Disney Princess.
During an interview with The New York Times, she opened up about her dream while sharing what experience the actress wants to create for her daughter. “My daughter is still young,” she said. The Lucy actress further shared she and her daughter shared the same dream at the time, which was to be a Disney princess.
“But it’s probably not going to happen,” she added while talking about her daughter, Rose Dorothy. Johansson also shared that she had been waiting for this offer for decades, but she never got one. She said, “I’ve been asking for that job for the past 20 years, and nobody has booked me.”
The 38 years old actress shares her daughter Rose Dorothy with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac. The couple was together for five years and welcomed their daughter in 2014. They decided to split three years after her birth in 2017.
Scarlett Johansson Almost Lost Her Marvel Role
Black Widow is one of the most popular roles of Scarlett Johnsson and has portrayed the character since the 2010 MCU movie, Iron Man 2. However, she was not offered the role immediately. The Avengers star has shared that she is a big fan of the first Iron Man movie and wanted to work with Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr.
And she was “pretty bummed” when she was not able to land the part initially. The role of Black Widow was initially offered to Emily Blunt, but she had to drawback from the movie due to some schedule conflicts. It eventually went to Johansson and she has reprised her character in several Marvel movies, including a standalone feature.
