The buzz of Kit Harington’s MCU entry is not over yet, but the studio has just confirmed the casting of Richard Dormer, who is best known for his role as Beric Dondarrion in the HBO show. He already has his role assigned, as according to the studio, Dormer will play the role of Agent Prescott for the Disney+ series, Secret Invasion.

Dormer’s Agent Prescott recently appeared in a new teaser for the show, where he was talking to Martin Freeman’s character Everett Ross.

Dormer and Emilia Clarke are not the only Game of Thrones alums to enter the MCU, rather the studio has brought 18 different stars to the universe from the HBO show over the years.

Earlier, Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark in GoT was featured in Eternals as Ikaris. Natalie Dormer and David Bradley also joined MCU as Private Lorraine and Church Keeper respectively in Captain America: The First Avenger, while Joseph Gatt played Frost Giant in Thor.

Harington appeared in Eternals, well, not in the film, but in one of two post-credit scenes. He joined MCU as Dane Whitman in the film and fans quickly knew he would be playing the iconic Black Knight character. The post-credit scene seemingly opened the door for Harington’s future association with the studio. The scene also indicated that he would play a major role in the Blade reboot after showing off his iconic weapon, the Ebony Blade, and a voiceover from Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali who is set to play Blade.

However, a recent rumor sparked regarding Harington’s association with future projects from the studio. As per reports, the makers of Blade have removed the character of Black Knight from the upcoming movie.

In a recent interview, The Game of Thrones actor told Collider about the future of Black Knight. He said that he saw the potential future of the character in the universe, which prompted him to accept the role. However, adding to the twist, as the actor revealed, Marvel hasn’t disclosed anything to the actor about reprising the role in future projects. Harington said that Marvel keeps a tight lid on any spoilers. “Like with anything, you don’t really know,” Harington said.

“You sort of do your research on what character it could be, and you go, ‘Oh, that looks quite fun.’ But it’s up to them whether they want to bring that person into their plans.”

The studio is yet to confirm the rumor surrounding Harington’s future in MCU. While Blade, starring Mahershala Ali is scheduled for a 2024 release.
